Welcome to GAIA6 - 9 May 2010 → Programme this way
Within just four years of its existence, the award-winning GAIA has established itself not only as a chamber music festival, but has also become a cultural and social phenomenon. What began as an annual one-week platform for internationally renowned musicians to meet and create a series of chamber music concerts has become a year-round sensation, with performances taking place in the months surrounding the festival week, international broadcasts of live concerts, masterclasses, and other educational events. Furthermore, GAIA has become the subject of a short film, to be unveiled in 2010. Founder and artistic director, violinist Gwendolyn Masin, has had immense success with the realisation of festivals throughout Europe and is critically acclaimed for the creative innovations that she brings to fruition. Fuelled by the friendship between Gwendolyn Masin and the architect Christoph Ott, the partners behind GAIA and their team are thus building towards this and next season’s coming events. We look forward to welcoming you to the performances this year! |
